What's on my iPhone?...

I saw this tag video on one of my recent YouTube catch-up sessions and thought it would transpire well into a blog post. I love seeing what apps people use on a day to day basis so here's what my iPhone 5 is loaded up with: ...

Event: #shhealthysmile at Everyman Cinema

At the beginning of the month, I was invited down to the Everyman Cinema in Leeds by the lovely team over at Simplyhealth to enjoy a good ol' giggle with my Sister...

YourTea Tiny Tea Teatox

So here we are 7 days into my Tiny Tea Teatox and I've really enjoyed it! The first thing I noticed is how much my skin has cleared up. I genuinely didn't think that this was a benefit of the tea, considering it is essentially a 'weight loss' system ...

Coral Ombre Nails

Not a perfect ombré, but these colours look so good together that I can forgive the fact that I don't have five perfectly gradiented coral tones in my nail polish collection ...

Blonde and Blonder...

So, first off, sorry for being a bad blogger for the best part of this month, I've been crazy busy with Uni and doing my exams and revision and all of that, so I had to put this on the back burner for a while. On the plus side I have a lot of new ideas!

Right, back to the post. I have been trying out a lot of new "blonde" products this month as my colour is starting to fade and I've just not had the time to get down to the hairdresser to sort it out. We all know that being a blonde is high maintenance!
Shampoo and Conditioner £6.12 each from Boots.
So, the first set of products is from Lee Stafford and is from his Bleach Blondes collection. The Shampoo and Conditioner are designed for all types of colour treated blonde hair and knocks out brassy and canary tones from the hair. It is toning however so it is not meant to be used all of the time, but I have been and it has yet to over-tone it.

Anyway, the Shampoo is a really vibrant purple colour and looks a little jelly-ish when squirted out of the bottle, and the Conditioner is a much lighter purple and a really creamy consistency. They both smell amazing (the smell stays in the hair nicely too) and left my hair really clean and really soft too, which is never something I expected from using a toning product, they tend to be really drying. It does not have an instant effect however, but after a couple of washes I noticed my hair looking more and more fresh and vibrant in colour. In my opinion this product is so much better than the Schwarzkopf Silver Shampoo as it is much thicker and less drying.

If you are in need of a colour shake up definitely try this product! I want to try a few more products from the Lee Stafford range as I am so impressed with this one, any recommendations?
Shampoo and Conditioner £4.07 each from Boots.
The second set of hair products I have been trying are the TRESemmé Colour Thrive Shampoo and Conditioner. I have always been a big fan of TRESemmé products, I think they're lovely quality for the price range and they do something for every hair type which is always a bonus, however, I was left underwhelmed by these ones.

They say that they restore strength and brightness as well as helping to retain colour longer. I feel that I really should have left the product for when I have my hair coloured to get the full benefit of them, but to me, they did exactly what all others in the range do and this one wasn't special in anyway. They smell lovely, chamomile and a little bit of fruit, but I found the Shampoo quite drying and in a way that you can feel whilst washing. My hair knotted and tangled so much easier after using it too. The Conditioner was good and felt moisturising in my hair but once washed out and dried the effect was not as prominent.

All in all, I do still love the TRESemmé brand, but I did not feel this product at all. Has anyone else tried it? What did you think?

Hope you all have a lovely day,
Lauran
