Monthly Favourites: July 2011 Edition...

Oh my, another month down! It's mental how fast this year has gone, it's officially Christmas Countdown (given that Xmas songs usually start at the end of September in clothing shops!). I hate that we've not properly had a summer yet and winter coats have started coming into stores :( boo!

Anyway, onto what I have been loving this month:

Favourite Make Up Products:

1: Face
Soap and Glory Hocus Focus
I really didn't think this would ever be my favourite product as it's so simple, but since my skin has been playing ball and blemishes are down to next-to-none (YEY!!) I have been loving using this. I have used it on its own under a tiny amount of foundation for a pretty daytime, glowy skin look, on my cheeks and brow bones as a highlight and on its own on days where I'm not doing much, just to even out my skin tone.

2: Cheeks
MeMeMe Blush Me! Coral
I have been loving my MeMeMe Blush Me! in Coral recently. It's great on 'no make-up' days to give a lovely natural looking flush to the cheeks.

3: Eyes
Again, this is the Urban Decay Naked Palette, but in particular the colour 'Sidecar'. I know a lot of people dislike this shade because of the chunks of glitter, but I have fallen in love with it. I've been using it as just a wash over my lid for a nice natural look a lot this month, and teaming it with 'Half-Baked' and 'Darkhorse' for a more dramatic look.

Favourite Hair Product:

VO5 Miracle Concentrate containing Argon Oil
A new purchase of mine, but it is definitely making my hair happy! Keep tuned for an in-depth review of this lovely serum, it smells gorgeous, makes my hair look gorgeous and is just gorgeous.

Favourite Skin Care Product:

The Boots Botanics Skin Care Range for Blemish Prone Skin
I am whole heartedly contributing this range of products to my recent good skin phase. My skin has never looked so good!

Favourite Nail Polish:

Barry M Pure Turquoise
I have used Barry M Pure Turquoise so much this month and it's the perfect summer toe colour, it instantly makes me think of sunny beaches and blue waters.

Favourite Drink:

Okay I am obsessed with Ribena Sparkling Raspberry! It's so good you really need to go and try it. Yummy!

Favourite Song:

Ed Sheeran - The A Team
If you haven't heard or don't love this song, you need to. Ed Sheeran's voice is just so beautiful and I can't help but stick it on repeat a couple of times to get my fix. I'm really looking forward to his album for more loveliness from him.

Random Favourite:

Wall Sticker from eBay (HERE)
My bathroom, but more particularly the wall sticker I put up in there today. What do you think? I think it's just so unusual, and I'm going to mimic the colours in some new towels and little accessory bits and pieces. The room was just so boring and considering I spend so much time in there with all my beauty stuff in there I needed to prettify it.

Favourite Blog:
This is a new discovery of mine in the blog world, but as I started reading I just couldn't stop each post is so captivating with gorgeous photos and a great writing style. She honestly reviews products with great swatches and even does comparisons for almost everything! Definitely have a look at this beautiful blog, you won't be disappointed.

What have you all been loving this month? I would also love to thank you all for reading, this month has seen my blog hit and surpass the 50 followers mark!

Much Love,

  1. Botanics range is so good! and it smells amazing too :) I can't seem to find soap and glory hocus pocus anywhere! And that wall sticker looks amazing! Might have to have a browse on ebay :P have a great weekend! xox

  2. lovely post :)
what skin type do you have? would the Botanics range suit dry/combo skin? :O

  3. I love Ed sheeran! have you heard you need me, i dont need you ? if you like a team i'm sure you'll like that too :) I'm loving the v05 oil as well, definitely one of my staple hair care products. I also love the botanics range, but i've only ever tried the skin brightening products from them, they work a treat though :)

  4. Thanks girlies!

@Cate - I have combo/oily skin which is prone to blemishes. I think that Botanics actually have a range catering for dry skin ... but as you have combo maybe switch in a few other products, however stay away from the ones for oily skin which contain amazonian clay as this will dry your skin out more.

@Lauren - Yes I have that song too! ... Obsessseeeeddddd! haha :) I was thinking of giving some of the other Botanics products a go too, the clay mask and the super balm (i think its called) sound interesting :)
