My GlossyBox: February 2012 Edition...

I do love it when my GlossyBox turns up. Always comes at a time when I need a little pick me up (aka. after two nights and a lot of alcohol!) Let me know if you're getting bored of these posts by the way, I know there are a lot of blogs who do reviews of the sample boxes.
Anyway, in homage to Fashion Week, this month's box is 'The Fashion Week Edition: 5 fabulous essentials to keep you looking your fashionable best'. Here's what came in mine this month:

  • Becca Beach Tint in Watermelon
  • Dr. Bronner Lavender Hand Sanitiser
  • Awapuhi by Paul Mitchell Wild Ginger Treatment Oil
  • Como Shambhala Invigorate Shower Gel
  • BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow in Wolf Howl

I was secretly hoping I'd get this in my box this month. I've never tried any Becca products before but have heard great things about them from the likes of Pixiwoo. This is lip and cheek stain which is apparently water-resistant, so will be perfect for summer. Trying it out on my hand it is a lovely reddish pink colour which smells like watermelon, I also love the fact that it's a multi-tasking product which means you can throw it in your bag and be good to go. Can't wait to give this a proper testing! This is a full-sized 7ml sample which retails for £20 (here).
This is odd to find in a beauty box, but given the theme it makes sense. The actual products is odd too, it's a spray rather than a gel as a hand sanitiser and is lavender scented which makes me sleepy, a weird combo, but a product I'll use nonetheless. This is a again a full sized product at 59ml and retails for £3.99 (here).
There's a lot of hype surrender hair oils at the moment, and I'm looking forward to giving this one a go. It can be used on wet or dry hair to smooth dry and damaged hair. As it says 'styling' in the title, I'm assuming it doesn't actually have any restorative properties, but gives the illusion of healthy hair. This is a 25ml sample size and the full sized 100ml retails for £25.95 (here) which is up there with Moroccan Oil in the price stakes.
Nothing too exciting about a shower gel, but a practical choice. The peppermint and eucalyptus will definitely refresh and wake you up in a morning. This is a 50ml sample size and the full sized 300ml product retails for £20 (here), which for a shower gel, I think is a little expensive. However, if this doesn't wake me up for uni tomorrow, there is no hope left.
I really don't like loose mineral eye shadows, so I will be giving this away, but this is a pretty dusky purple/midnight blue colour with shimmer, from the Storybook Collection, and will be great for a smokey eye. The brand itself is co-owned by Kimberly Wyatt and is cruelty free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans. This is a 1g sample, the full sized 2g product retails for £7 (here).

What do you think of this month's box? I'm so excited for the Harrods one for March!

Much Love,
Lauran
