Hope you're all having a lovely long weekend, unless like me you work in retail and bank holidays don't exist to you -_-. Anyway, I've seen so many amazing Jubilee related manicures this week and thought I should give it a go too. I went for a simple accent nail using the Union Jack, as I didn't have the patience to do all my nails and am not ambidextrous enough to do both hands!
1. Firstly paint your nails the desired base coat, ensuring one it a dark navy blue. I used Revlon's Revlon Red and Barry M Navy.
2. Using a small, flat brush, paint a white cross on the blue base. Make sure this is thick enough to fit a red cross in the middle. I used Models Own Snow White.
3. Using the tip of the flat brush, create thin diagonal lines across the blue squares.
4. Using a thin, pointed brush take your red polish and paint a red cross in the centre of the white. You can also take this in the diagonals too, but I decided not to as I liked the way it looked like this.
And that's it! If you're more skilled than me you can do all nails, but if not, there are a number of Union Jack nails wraps on the high street right now.
What do you think? Are you sporting a Jubilee inspired manicure?
