What's on my iPhone?...

I saw this tag video on one of my recent YouTube catch-up sessions and thought it would transpire well into a blog post. I love seeing what apps people use on a day to day basis so here's what my iPhone 5 is loaded up with: ...

Event: #shhealthysmile at Everyman Cinema

At the beginning of the month, I was invited down to the Everyman Cinema in Leeds by the lovely team over at Simplyhealth to enjoy a good ol' giggle with my Sister...

YourTea Tiny Tea Teatox

So here we are 7 days into my Tiny Tea Teatox and I've really enjoyed it! The first thing I noticed is how much my skin has cleared up. I genuinely didn't think that this was a benefit of the tea, considering it is essentially a 'weight loss' system ...

Coral Ombre Nails

Not a perfect ombré, but these colours look so good together that I can forgive the fact that I don't have five perfectly gradiented coral tones in my nail polish collection ...

Skincare Saviour: Lush Fresh Face Masks...

LUSH Fresh Facemasks Catastrophe Cosmetic Cosmetic Warrior Review
Catastrophe Cosmetic and Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Masks - £5.95 each
I'm making a conscious effort to up my skincare and really trying to make more 'skin healthy' choices in the products I buy. The first place I look is Lush and their Fresh Face Masks as they are all made from fresh ingredients which are combined to tackle different skin problems. I picked up two spot busting masks:

Catastrophe Cosmetic is a great cleansing mask. It really makes my skin feel clean and fresh and the chamomile and talc in the formula calm redness and puffiness. This is a great mask to use a few times a week when your skin feels really congested and in need of a good clear out, not necessarily if your skins breaking out.

I've used Cosmetic Warrior a few times and it really helps to calm down breakouts and it actually feels like it's doing some good for my skin. The mask is made from garlic, tea tree, grapes, egg and honey which means it is both antiseptic and moisturising. Most treatments aimed at spots strip the skin leaving it tight and dry, this mask is really moisturising and my skin feels soft and nourished after I've used it.

What's your favourite face mask?

Drugstore Favourites: The Perfect Base...

Rimmel Lasting Finish Stay Matte Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer Review
I don't know about you guys, but when I find a great drugstore product I grip tight and never let it go! I've managed to find three base perfecting products which I ALWAYS repurchase as soon as they run out, for a mere £15.

The first of these products was my first ever make up purchase and I've rarely been without it (I did however, have a brief affair with the Mac MSF Natural). The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is genuinely the best setting powder I've ever used and for just £3.99 it's an absolute bargain. I always get the Transparent 001 one as it does not alter the colour of my foundation and the formula keeps me matte for a large proportion of the day without looking cakey on the skin. This is a godsend if you have oily/combination skin!

The second is another Rimmel product, the Lasting Finish 25hour Foundation. This has to be my sisters number one make up product of all time, she literally recommends it to everyone. To be honest, I love almost all of the Rimmel foundations and you can't really go wrong with them. This one has the most coverage and lasting power of the whole range the offer and that makes it perfect for my blemish prone and uneven skin tone. It covers as multitude of sins, blends well, comes in a good range of 6 colours and does NOT budge all day.

The final product has become a cult product amongst beauty bloggers and as a result it's always sold out in my colour (meaning I stock up as soon as I find it!). The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is a liquid concealer with a doe foot applicator. I get shade 2 to cover imperfections and shade 1 for under the eyes. I do think it is a little thick to use under the eyes, but I mix it with my Origins GinZing so it's a little more light reflecting and not as heavy. This stuff is seriously heavy duty and will cover anything so it's perfect for bad skin days and nights out for a flawless finish.

Have you tried any of these products?
