What's on my iPhone?...

I saw this tag video on one of my recent YouTube catch-up sessions and thought it would transpire well into a blog post. I love seeing what apps people use on a day to day basis so here's what my iPhone 5 is loaded up with: ...

Event: #shhealthysmile at Everyman Cinema

At the beginning of the month, I was invited down to the Everyman Cinema in Leeds by the lovely team over at Simplyhealth to enjoy a good ol' giggle with my Sister...

YourTea Tiny Tea Teatox

So here we are 7 days into my Tiny Tea Teatox and I've really enjoyed it! The first thing I noticed is how much my skin has cleared up. I genuinely didn't think that this was a benefit of the tea, considering it is essentially a 'weight loss' system ...

Coral Ombre Nails

Not a perfect ombré, but these colours look so good together that I can forgive the fact that I don't have five perfectly gradiented coral tones in my nail polish collection ...

YourTea Tiny Tea Teatox: Day 7...

YourTea Tiny Tea Teatox UK
This is an update on my progress with the YourTea Tiny Tea Teatox, if you haven't already, check out my first introductory post HERE

So here we are 7 days into my Tiny Tea Teatox and I've really enjoyed it! The first thing I noticed is how much my skin has cleared up. I genuinely didn't think that this was a benefit of the tea, considering it is essentially a 'weight loss' system, but I have had no new breakouts since starting the Teatox. Secondly, my energy levels after drinking a cup genuinely shoot through the roof. I am in no way a morning person (or afternoon for that fact), but a cup of this before breakfast kick starts me, I feel more alert and awake and i'm ready for the day ahead. Considering there is no caffeine in the tea, this is quite an accomplishment!

I've been much less bloated since starting the TeaTox. I haven't changed my diet at all this week (as a test to see whether it is the tea or just good diet which is helping), meaning I've had a Domino's, McDonalds and eaten out (oh god my diet can be awful at times!). I usually feel a lot of discomfort as I have a slight dairy and gluten intolerance but have haven't felt it at all this week. It is definitely living up to its digestion aid claims.

So far, I haven't suffered from any nasty side effects which can be seen with 'skinny teas'. This coming week I am sticking to a healthy eating regime to see how the Teatox works in conjunction with it. The brand insist that you see results with or without a change in lifestyle, but obviously you will see better results with diet and exercise changes.

In terms of weight loss, I haven't weighed myself as I don't think weight is the best judge, but my stomach looks a lot flatter (the little christmas podge is slowly disappearing) and my thighs look slimmer too.

So far so good! Head over to YourTea's website for more information. They ship worldwide with an average of 10-14 delivery time for UK customers.

Much Love,

OPI Excuse Moi!...

OPI Excuse Moi Swatch

Tonight's manicure comes courtesy OPI and their gorgeous Muppets collection from Christmas 2011. This has to be without a doubt my favourite colour from the whole collection, (aside from Rainbow Connection) Excuse Moi! It's a gorgeous fine pink glitter with chunkier multi coloured particles in it which dries to a matte finish. It doesn't come off too in your face, so looks beautiful as a full mani rather than just an accent.

I've also just discovered the new Oz collection and oh my days I think I might be in love!

Much Love,

Blogs I'm Loving...

Since downloading the Bloglovin' app to my iPhone I've been loving sitting down with a cup of tea and getting cosied up reading blogs whilst the boyfriend nerds out on his Xbox. After all, isn't that what Sunday's are made for?
My favourite at the moment has to be Nouvelle Daily. It has such a great mix of posts from beauty, fashion and lifestyle and some AMAZING recipes for sweet treats!
I really loved reading Laura's A Forte for Fashion blog through London Fashion Week. Her outfit posts were amazing(anyone who can rock a velvet suit gets a thumbs up in my opinion)!
Chloé and BlushCrush were one of the first blogs I followed. She's a lovely girl who's recommendations I trust 100% and her writing style makes you feel like you're getting advice from your best friend.
I Covet Thee is a new discovery this month. With a lovely mix of beauty, fashion and food posts, Alix has some beautiful photography and great style! (Don't forget to check out her YouTube videos too.)

What are your favourite blog this month? Please leave your links below :) If you haven't already, I'd definitely suggest you go and download the Bloglovin' app from the AppStore, it's much more interactive and user friendly than Google Reader and it gives you the option to 'like' blog posts too (find my link below).

YourTea: 28 Day Tiny Tea Teatox...

YourTea Tiny Tea TeaTox UK

If you follow me on Facebook, you might have noticed that I've posted about YourTea a couple of times recently. I came across the Australian brand when I saw a tweet from Gaz(of Geordie Shore fame)about him using it and seeing quick weight loss results. I did some further research and have read so many great stories from their customers I wanted to give it a go. So in order to get me Summer ready the lovely guys (they really are lovely!) from YourTea sent me their 28day Tiny Tea Teatox...

YourTea Tiny Tea Teatox Packaging
YourTea Tiny Tea Teatox Packaging
28 Day Tinyteatox* - Contains 250g of tea (84 tea bags) - £37.81
The Tiny Tea Teatox is a weight loss aid which stimulates your metabolism, removes waste, toxins & fluid retention whilst increasing energy levels.

**DISCLAIMER: Before you all jump to rash conclusions I am not jumping on a fad diet bandwagon and I do not want to loose a load of weight. I have a healthy and balanced lifestyle and am using this to supplement to my current eating and exercise routine.**

YourTea uphold that this is NOT a laxative tea instead it uses lots of natural ingredients to nourish and cleanse your body, speed up your metabolism and the burning of calories and suppress your appetite. Check out the hashtag #gettingtiny on Instagram or @tinyteatox to see all of the success stories and achievements from their customers and info from the brand itself.

The tea is actually really nice, with a taste midway between your usual builders tea and green tea and is not too strong (converted my younger sister to green tea and that's no easy feat!). It also doesn't contain caffeine. I've been drinking three cups a day on an empty stomach 30 minutes before my main meals and have really enjoyed it. Make sure you check back on Wednesday for my 7day progress report!

#FashFail Campaign: Win £300 in Burton Vouchers...

Burton #FashFail Competition
I absolutely LOVE it when brands come up with creative ways of getting their customer involved and Burton Menswear have done just that with their #FashFail campaign, where you can name, shame and share your own and your mates horrendous fashion failures, whether it be going that step too far with a current trend or ... erm... well the 80's in general, all to be in with the chance of winning £300 worth of Burton vouchers.

In return for your #FashFail photos the Burton Fashion Police will be dishing out fashion advice and you get to have a good old giggle at embarrassing Dad's 70's get up and Boyfriends who think they are extras from Geordie Shore (nipple baring vests HAVE to be THE worst fashion fail of this century!)

If you want to take part, head on over to the Burton #FashFail App on Facebook or on the Burton Website which outlines all of the terms and conditions. I mean, come on now, we've all had a fashion fail at least once a year... admittedly mine were all down to my mother putting me in horrendous Kappa tracksuits at the age of 5... *shudder at the thought of trousers with poppers!*

The competition closes on the 30th March 2013 and if you enter don't forget to tweet using the #FashFail hashtag!

The Opening of Trinity Leeds...

Henry Holland Trinity Leeds Opening Ceremony
This morning saw the much awaited opening of Trinity Leeds. With over 100 new stores slap bang in the city centre and being the only new shopping centre to open in the whole of Europe in 2013, it has definitely caused quite a stir.

Whilst I wasn't invited to the official press launch with some other Leeds bloggers (Laura and Jen amongst others), missing out on the fluro pink vests, I did get down to have a general wander round and see what was going on.

Henry Holland created this record breaking, 15ft dress as a part of the opening ceremony, with his acrobatic model suspended from the ceiling! This is the longest designer dress in the world.
Henry Holland Trinity Leeds Opening Ceremony
This was the view of the centre at about 11am! There was no room to move, and claps and cheers could be heard from the brand new Apple Store whose entire staff were high-fiving and cheering every customer who walked through the door (to everyone's amusement). There were even queues to get on and off the escalators with official people telling you when it was your turn...

I must admit there was quite an atmosphere, with everyone pretty excited to see the new stores, staff creating welcoming and upbeat stores and Coast walking umbrella-holding-leggy-models through the upper level. Quite disappointingly, not all of the stores were open, with the likes of Victoria's Secret and Primark not opening until late this Summer.

Next, Warehouse, Urban Outfitters and New Look have all moved into the Trinity lower and middle levels alongside new names for Leeds Hollister, Mango, Apple and Candy Kitten.
Jamie Laing Candy Kitten Trinity Leeds Opening
We walked past the gorgeous Jamie Laing on the escalators (I could have TOUCHED him as he wasn't surrounded by people) on the way to his official opening of the Candy Kitten pop-up store. He was giving out free Lollies to the flocks of girls outside the shop, sporting a fluro pink 'Pardy Pardy' sweater.
TGI Friday's Leeds Trinity Opening
The top floor houses all of the restaurants, with some new names such as Giraffe alongside firm favourites Nando's (did we really need another?!) and TGI's. We picked TGI's as all of the newer restaurants were already packed by 12pm, and who can pass up on a Jack Daniel's Burger... The staff were lovely and the food was yuuuum!
Johnnie Cupcake Leeds Trinity Opening
Mint Choc-Chip, Pretty in Pink, Rasperberry Ripple and Black & White cupcakes (£1.50 each)
On the way out we picked up these lovely little cupcakes from Johnnie Cupcakes on the lower ground level, who also make giant cupcakes,(mental note for my birthday cake there!) for £1.50 each. They were AMAZING!

The building itself is architecturally stunning, with a glass fronting and roof, it takes up a large proportion of Leeds' shopping quarter including the old Shopping Plaza and three of the main shopping streets. I can definitely see Trinity Leeds being regarded as a main shopping destination from now on rivalling bigger cities. They have shops for everyone and have finally brought in brands that can usually only be found in Manchester or Sheffield, into Leeds City Centre. The downside is that it is effectively a covered street, meaning it is absolutely FREEZING inside (leading to a mass huddle up in Hollister where there was both heating and hot guys) but if you're more warm blooded than I am this won't bother you.

Hopefully, the rest of Leeds city centre will be boosted by this three year, £350million building venture and will not leave it a ghost town full of empty shop fronts!

Were you at the opening of Trinity Leeds? I'm really looking forward to Victoria's Secret opening in the Summer!

Much Love,
Lauran

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara...

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara Review
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara Wand Review
Rimmel are on point with their latest releases, bringing out products which seriously rival higher end brands. The Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara is one of their newest mascara releases; promoting a lash growth formula and fibres to extend and enhance your lashes.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara on Eyes Eyelashes
I fell in love with the original formula a couple of years back and have fallen even harder for the Endless version. The wand has short plastic bristles,(which I don't usually love)and the jet black formula coats each lash, separating and giving length to lack lustre lashes like mine.

The formula doesn't flake or smudge and has no problems holding a curl for the whole day. However, this is not one for those of you who love a volumising mascara, offering nothing in that department whatsoever, but for those of you who like a lengthened and separated look this one will be right up your alley. I even much prefer my eye makeup without eyeliner using this mascara as it's that perfect 'my lashes but better' product.

I've noticed that my natural lashes look so much better, without mascara, after using this product. They naturally look longer and more curled.

Turn Back Time: TRESemmé Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment...

TRESemme Platinum Strength Deep Conditioner Review
TRESemmé are known for creating salon strength products that work, at a purse friendly prices and their Platinum Strength Deep Conditioner is no exception to this. The whole product line claims to be able to visibly repair 2 years worth of damage in just 5 uses.

Whilst I am aware that hair is essentially dead and cannot be repaired, it's nice to find a product which makes a visible difference to the look and feel of your hair. My hair has literally gone from dry, course and unruly to smooth and soft with far less visible slit ends and damage.
TRESemme Platinum Strength Deep Conditioner Review
I've been using this once a week as a treatment, leaving it on for however long I'm in the shower and combing it through before washing it out. When I've dried my hair, it literally feels like new, no tangles, easy to style and looking lovely and smooth. Definitely a winning product in my books.

Have you tried anything from the Platinum Strength line? I really want to try the Instant Rescue Shot!

Much Love,
Lauran

L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim...

The L'Oreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss/Black Lacquer has always been a staple for me, and unfortunately for me, the same can be said of the whole beauty blogging community, meaning I can never get a hold of it! Instead, I picked the newest liquid liner offering from L'Oreal as a trial replacement the Super Liner Perfect Slim.
L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim Review
L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim Review
L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim - £6.99
The Super Line Perfect Slim uses the same intense black formula as Carbon Gloss with the added ease of the felt-tip pen packaging and super fine nib. The liner is so much easier to use, perfect for liquid liner beginners. It does however suit those who prefer a less dramatic liner look as the fine nib can make it difficult to create a heavy and thick cat eye as you have to do quite a bit of 'colouring in' and it feels like it's damaging the pen slightly. Saying this, I actually really like the fine point you can get to the flick as it looks a lot more 'done' and precise. In terms of staying power, it lasts pretty much all day for me with minimal smudging (none if I use a primer) and it doesn't flake off either.

L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim Review

I do actually prefer this liner for everyday use, but for nights out etc. I think I'll be sticking to the more heavy duty Super Liner which creates more of an impact.

Much Love,

Luxe Summer: Neon Brights from Avenue 32...

The weather here in the UK has been surprisingly nice considering we were covered in snow a few weeks ago, which naturally has had my mind wandering to hotter climates, holidays and my summer wardrobe.

The neon palette is always a fantastic choice for summer, instantly adding a pop of colour and has the added perk of enhancing those summer tans. Avenue 32 is a luxury online fashion retailer, showcasing both established and international emerging designers. Here are my luxe summer picks:

Avenue 32 Summer Neon Clothing and Accessories
Alexander Lewis Shirt £330, Heidi Klein Bikini £195, Ahilya Scarf £270, Roksanda Ilincic Top £415, Nina Peter Box Bag £300.
I love the simple shape of this shirt by Alexander Lewis which instantly makes the bright colour really wearable. I'd pair this with a pair of distressed denim shorts, a top knot and tan wedges for an effortless casual look. I'm a sucker for anything pink, make it hot, neon and in the shape of a bikini and it's a sure fire way to get into my wish list with classic Heidi Klein shapes and signature silhouettes, the rest of this collection is stunning and really wearable for all shapes and sizes. Neon yellow was all over LFW and for those of you who have a slight phobia of statement pieces, this Ahilya scarf is a great way to inject some colour into your summer wardrobe. My absolute favourite piece on the whole website has to be this Python Box Bag which also comes in orange and pink. Its small enough to use as a clutch but big enough to squeeze in your daily essentials.

I may have just mentally spent £1,500 right there, but that's the beauty of online shopping, we all can dream right?! Avenue 32 currently have 10% off orders for first time shoppers too so if you've spotted something make sure you take advantage!

Much Love,

Models Own Disco Inferno...

Models Own Mirrorball Disco Inferno Swatch
I love a good glitter polish and Models Own (along with Barry M) never fail to disappoint in their offerings. I dug this out of my collection realising that I hadn't used it since Christmas and felt that it definitely needed to see the light of day.
Models Own Mirrorball Disco Inferno Swatch
Models Own Mirrorball Disco Inferno Swatch
Disco Inferno was a part of the Models Own Christmas Collection, Mirrorball and was one of my favourite collection releases to date (hold the boat for their Neon Collection though *swoon*). It is a mix of gold, green, silver holographic and rose gold glitter suspended in a clear polish. All of the glitter particles are different sizes giving a gorgeous layered-party-glitter look to the nails. I used Ciaté's My Fair Lady as a base to really let the glitter do the talking. My favourite part of this polish has to be the chunky gold particles in it, as layered up they give a 3D effect to the nail which no other glitter polish can match up to.

Models Own Mirrorball Disco Inferno Swatch
What do you think? Do you like this look or do you think glitter nails should be confined to the party season?

John Frieda: The Key to Leaving Hair Sleek and Shiny...

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Frizz Ease Review
John Frieda Sheer Blonde Moisturising Shampoo*, Conditioner* and Frizz-Ease Hair Serum*. John Frieda products are currently on 2 for £8 at Boots.
Getting blonde hair too look smooth, sleek and shiny is no easy feat. With frazzled ends, annoying fly-aways and a penchant for breaking *dyed* blonde hair has to be the most high maintenance colour of them all. In steps John Frieda and their Moisturising Sheer Blonde range and a cheeky bit of Frizz-Ease.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Frizz Ease Review
John Frieda Sheer Blonde Frizz Ease Review

I've been a fan of the John Frieda ranges for a very long time and have used their Go Blonder, Colour Renew, Frizz Ease and Full Repair lines, all delivering great results. The Sheer Blonde range is no exception.

The formula is salon inspired and contains jojoba and sunflower oils with white tea to bring out and enhance blonde highlights whilst not depositing any colour onto the hair. I definitely saw a noticeable difference in my hair after a few uses, the darker mousey brown at my roots blended more with the blonde at the ends and my ends were a lot brighter and more true as a blonde. In terms of nourishment, it is one of the most moisturising lines I've tried which is specifically formulated for blonde hair. It is no where near the level of hydration that something from Aussie would offer, but nonetheless my hair did not feel dry or heavy and weighed down after using them.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum Review

Now here comes the miracle worker. This stuff is a tried and tested favourite and I'm never without a bottle in my stash. I smooth on a few pumps of this serum into the ends of damp hair leaving hair sleek whether I blow dry it or not. Fly-aways are tamed, split ends are hidden and my hair is left as if I've just come out of the salon. WINNER! To top it off, John Frieda have kindly given me a Frizz-Ease Hair Serum to giveaway to one of you lucky lot, just simply enter the competition below using the Rafflecopter form. The winner will be contacted on Saturday 9th March 2013! Good Luck!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Don't forget to check out the John Frieda YouTube channel if you're a fan of their products. As well as giving great advice on how to best use their products, their stylist Giles Robinson has some fantastic hair tutorials, my favourite being the Natural Waves tutorial using some of the Frizz-Ease Products.
