What's on my iPhone?...

I saw this tag video on one of my recent YouTube catch-up sessions and thought it would transpire well into a blog post. I love seeing what apps people use on a day to day basis so here's what my iPhone 5 is loaded up with: ...

At the beginning of the month, I was invited down to the Everyman Cinema in Leeds by the lovely team over at Simplyhealth to enjoy a good ol' giggle with my Sister...

YourTea Tiny Tea Teatox

So here we are 7 days into my Tiny Tea Teatox and I've really enjoyed it! The first thing I noticed is how much my skin has cleared up. I genuinely didn't think that this was a benefit of the tea, considering it is essentially a 'weight loss' system ...

Not a perfect ombré, but these colours look so good together that I can forgive the fact that I don't have five perfectly gradiented coral tones in my nail polish collection. Now I'm a little more tan (thank you world for one week of Summer) I've found myself wearing more orange tones in my make up as well as on my nails due to its tan enhancing properties.

"That's Why Her Hair's So Big... It's Full of Secrets": Sleep-In Rollers Mega Bounce

Sleep In Rollers Review
Sleep-In Rollers Mega Bounce Gift Set (*) - £35.00

A few weeks ago I was kindly sent the Mega Bounce Gift Set by Sleep-In Rollers to try out and it's safe to say I have found my hair saviour!

Sleep In Rollers Review
Sleep In Rollers Review

Sleep-In Rollers are a soft velcro roller with a foam middle, making them far easier to sleep in than your conventional rollers. The Mega Bounce gift set consists of a set of Mega Bounce Rollers, which are larger than the original Sleep-In Rollers and are designed to give lift and bounce to the roots. It also consists of a pack of the original Sleep-In Rollers, hair grips and a blow-dry hood (looks hilarious but gives amazing results!).

The Sleep-In Rollers are so easy to use, the fact that they are pliable somehow makes them easier to put in and they genuinely do stay put. I found that I only needed to use the grips on a few of the Mega Bounce Rollers to keep them in place, the rest gripped really well in the hair. I placed the Mega Bounce Rollers to the top sections of my hair and the crown, and the Sleep-In Rollers throughout the rest of my hair, I only needed about 12 to fill the whole of my head, because the Mega Bounce ones are so large. Dampening my hair made it so much easier to put the rollers in.

To sleep on, they aren't entirely comfortable but you can get a good nights sleep wearing them. I just found myself sleeping on my stomach, but for the results they give, I'd sleep with my head hanging off the bed if I had to!

Sleep-In Rollers Results
Sleep-In Rollers ResultsSleep-In Rollers Results

Let's just address the fact that I used no product and absolutely no heat to test just how effective the Sleep-In Rollers are on their own, and this was the result! I haven't seen my hair look this good since... well, ever... My hair felt light and bouncy and the volume and curl actually stuck around for two whole days and a trip on the Megabus (a mean feat for any hair product). I can see myself digging these out on a weekly basis as I received so many compliments on my hair.

I can't recommend Sleep-In Rollers enough to you all, you can find them on sleepinrollers.com, Boots and Feel Unique and there's literally a set for everyone. If you've used Sleep-In Rollers leave me a comment below and let me know if you'll be buying some if not.

Accessorising with Michael Kors...

Michael Kors is a brand which has just exploded in popularity these past few years, with their cult Chronograph Bracelet watch gracing many a girls wrist. Here are a few of my favourite pieces from the selection over at John Lewis

Michael Kors Rose Gold Watches, Aviator and Camilla Sunglasses
I still have a massive obsession with Rose Gold. I love the way it looks against my skin tone and I think it's more feminine than Yellow Gold or Silver. These are my three favourite Rose Gold offerings from Michael Kors, the cult classic Chronograph which will forever be on my lust list, the more unusual Rose Gold and White Chronograph which is perfect for summer and the Slim Runway Watch which is more delicate on the wrist, great for those of you who don't like the masculine vibe of the Chronograph range.

Secondly in this tropical weather we seem to be experiencing right now, sunglasses are a must! The classic Aviator style will forever be gracing my face but I absolutely love the slight cat eye shape and gold detailing of the Camilla Sunglasses

Graduation Style with Box Clothing...

It'll be a year next week that I graduated from my Law Degree at Leeds Met and I've been wandering around the city and browsing Facebook and seeing so many Graduation photos that it makes me want to do it all again.

Forever Unique, Darling and Ted Baker Dresses with Chinese Laundry and Melissa Shoes
Outfit One: Forever Unique Dress and Chinese Laundry Wedges= £295
Outfit Two: Darling Dress and Chinese Laundry Wedges= £125
Outfit Three: Ted Baker Dress and Melissa Heels= £163
A Graduation outfit needs to strike a balance between comfort (you're in it all day, and night in my case!), being smart and showing your personality. You should definitely take into account the colours in your gown before picking an outfit, but don't be afraid to be bold. It is your day after all, and regardless of what you're wearing, you're going to be looked at.

Outfit One: I've picked three different outfits from Box Clothing; the first a gorgeous and flattering red dress from Forever Unique which will look gorgeous under your gown as well as for the celebration that will do doubt follow. Pairing with understated heels (a wedge was a must in my case as it was outside) will keep it looking smart throughout the day.

Outfit Two: My favourite has to be this beautiful floral dress from Darling. The print is just perfect for this time of year and the pencil shape gives it a formal edge. The nude colouring keeps it looking young and fresh and pairing it with these Chinese Laundry Wedges definitely gives a nod to the metallic footwear trend without being too over the top.

Outfit Three: Finally, for those of you who feel more comfortable in black (this was a popular dress colour for my graduation along with white), the embellished collar of the Ted Baker dress and pop of colour with the red Melissa Heels stops it looking plain.

What are you wearing for your Graduation?

YourTea and TinyTeatox Finally Land in the UK...

Since posting about YourTea a few months ago HERE, HERE and HERE I've had so many comments and emails telling me that it is not available in the UK. The brand halted its international distribution in April so that they could set up a local distribution system within the UK to reduce shipping costs to us! What a lovely bunch.

I can happily announce that YourTea will launch in the UK, complete with beautiful new packaging, on 10th August. If you literally can't wait that long, you can click HERE to be taken to the International Shop where you can place your pre-orders. (Please bear in mind that these will not be shipped out until the 9th September for UK customers).I can hear the cheers and the rummaging in purses already. You can read my posts linked above for all of my thoughts and results with the TinyTeatox.

YourTea Tiny Tea Teatox Pack and Her Tea Pack
As you may know, one of the biggest benefits I found was the effects the product had on my skin. Blemishes were kept at bay, and my skin looked much clearer. Alongside the Teatox, YourTea suggest;
  1. Eating lots of green, leafy vegetables i.e. baby spinach, broccoli, beans, bok choy, asparagus and Kale which are great for hydration.
  2. Taking a handful of parsley and boil for 4 minutes in 2 cups of water – drink!
  3. Buying some cold pressed coconut oil and smother your face in it at night before bed as it is known for keeping the skin looking youthful.
  4. Including almonds and flaxseeds in diet which are full of omega 3 and antioxidants.
  5. Avoiding sugar – it heats up the body, bloats the skin and can aggravate blemishes.

I did notice weight loss also, but regular exercise is key to seeing real results with the tea, as we all know, there is no magic weight-loss potion. It requires hard work, sweat and commitment. But don't worry, a brisk 3-5km walk per day is enough to get your heart pumping if you're not a natural athlete.

To coincide with the launch the lovely guys over at YourTea have given all of my readers a code for 10% off your order. Just type in "UKlauch" at the check out. If you'd like to read the full YourTea interview, you can download it by clicking below.

Follow me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for your chance to win one of three YourTea TinyTeatox packages and stay tuned to the blog for more information.

What's in my Bag?: Zara Neon Yellow Mini Bowler Edition...

I was given this GORGEOUS bag as a birthday present after I fell in love with its neon goodness when I saw it in store (I can no longer find it online, sorry!). I decided I wanted a smaller bag in a bid to not carry as much around with me. So here's what I carry around with me on a daily basis.
What's in my Bag - Zara Neon Yellow Mini Bowler Bag with Zips
What's in my Bag - Zara Neon Yellow Mini Bowler Bag with Zips
What's in my Makeup Bag
Neon Yellow Bowler Bag with Zips* - Zara
Purse* - River Island
Makeup Bag - Primark
Phone Case - Marc Jacobs

I tend to carry around my makeup bag to touch up throughout the day as I'm usually out for 12+ hours. My Stay Matte Powder comes everywhere with me to control shine, and is a lifesaver on these hotter days. I've always got a few lip products floating around, today's choice is L'Oreal Rouge Caresse in Impulsive Fuchsia and my Vaseline Creme Brûlée tin for putting on cuticles, dry skin patches and lips.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate the cuteness that is my Marc Jacobs Katie Bunny phone case! The fact that it is neon pink is just the icing on the cake. My notebook, current nail polish, nail file and sunglasses take up the rest of my bag, with my keys and dubious amounts of chewing gum taking up any spare gaps.

Soap & Glory: Sugar Crush Body Wash and Body Scrub...

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash and Scrub
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash and Scrub
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Fresh & Foamy Body Wash* - £6.50
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub* - £8.00
I mentioned these products in my June Favourites post recently and felt they needed a post all of their own. The scent of these products is what initially drew me in. It's just so summery and refreshing with notes of sweet lime, brown sugar and almond. Even with the scrub sat open with me whilst I'm writing this, the scent is filling the room and instantly uplifts my mood.

The scrub is not too abrasive as it uses sugar as an exfoliant. The almond oil makes it really moisturising but not too greasy as the oil just absorbs into the skin. The body wash foams up really nicely and the scent fills the bathroom and lingers on the skin after it's been washed off. It's the perfect body wash for early mornings and post workout showers as it is just so invigorating.

I just don't think there's a Soap & Glory product that I don't like! I really need to pick up the Body Buttercream in the Sugar Crush range too as it's just perfect for this hot weather. Soap & Glory is currently on 3 for 2 in Boots.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure: Kook A Mango...

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - Kook A Mango Bottle

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - Kook A Mango Nail

Injecting a bit of summer sun into my manicure today with Sally Hansen's Kook A Mango. It's a gorgeous red/orange mango colour which really emphasises a tan. The formula is great, opaque in two coats and the brush is mega wide making it super quick to apply. The formula dries to a high shine but I threw on a coat of Insta-Dry to be on the safe side.

Blurred Lines...

Look at me getting all fashion blogger and taking photos in scenery! I recently moved house and found this woodland trail behind my new house, it has the most amazing views and it is just so nice to find this little piece of greenery in a city.

Neon Orange Strappy Cami - Topshop
Baroque Print Skater Skirt - ASOS
Belt - H&M
Sandals - Primark
Bracelet* - Pandora

This neon cami is so versatile and goes with pretty much anything, this colour is no longer available but there's plenty of other variations to choose from. I paired it with my baroque print skirt from ASOS for an easy to wear summer look. I never usually wear prints on my bottom half, but I absolutely love this especially as it was a bargainous £16. Today is just being spent enjoying the current heatwave the UK is experiencing and getting some much needed colour on my pasty limbs.

Let me know how you feel about these new outfit posts!

Favourites & More: June 2013...

It's monthly favourites time! May and June were amazing months with so much summer sunshine, a gorgeous wedding, interviews, moving house and my 22nd Birthday. A month of appreciating what I have rather than what I want and loving every second of it.

June in Photos:

Gorgeous new Zara bag// Ben & Jerry's in the sunshine// Haircare stash// BN BN// Relaxing morning in Hyde Park// Enjoying the sunshine in massive shades// Memories shelf// Tired after my first workout// Summer sky// New bedroom// Neon floral interview outfit// Posing at a friends wedding// Birthday cake!!
Favourite products of June:

A relatively small number of favourites this month. I think i've actually fallen in love with the scent of the Sugar Crush range by Soap & Glory. It's predominately citrus and is a such an energising and happy scent, perfect for Summer. The products themselves are really nourishing and the scrub is great because it's not too abrasive and doesn't leave a greasy layer on the skin.

The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor is a product I'm rarely without, an when I am my hair definitely misses it. It's the only thing that adds some smoothness to my parched ends and the sweet smell lingers on the hair.

VIVO's Radiance Boost Highlighter has been a welcome rediscovery this month and its peachy tones work wonders on dark circles under the eyes and adds a glow to dull skin. This, teamed with my GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream by Origins has made sure my tired eyes have been masked this month.

Finally, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh needs no description. It's a beautiful light, sweet, floral scent which was made for the Summer months. I just can't get enough of sniffing this stuff!

Random Favourite... Peanut Butter Ice Cream. Oh Lord! I am seriously addicted. The one from ASDA is nice but the Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter Me Up I have no words for... Let my arteries turn to peanut butter!

Favourite Blogs of June:
Two favourites this month; In the fashion corner it's the beautiful Amy from Amy Valentine. Her photos and style are just stunning and she makes me wish I could pull off pastel hair; and in the beauty corner Amelia Liana from Liana Beauty. Her YouTube videos have made her blog all the more relatable and she has a make-up/skincare collection that most of us could only dream of... Major envy!

What I've listened to in June:
Disclosure, Rudimental and Swedish House Mafia albums have all been helping me keep myself in an upbeat mood whilst working out and are definitely soundtracks to my Summer!

What I've been watching in June:
Ok. Let's just address Big Brother. Why can't I stop watching it?!

Hope you enjoyed my favourites this month. Comment below with some of your favourite things from the month of June.

Much Love,
Lauran
