The brand-lust award has to go to Charlotte Tilbury and Kevyn Aucoin. The rose gold beauty of the brand new Charlotte Tilbury make up is enough to make any girl weak at the knees, but when the products themselves are as equally beautiful, you might as well hand over your bank card and plug your ears. This stunning eyeshadow palette is filled with colours neutral enough to use everyday but the glitter makes it that little bit special. Kevyn Aucoin's promise of perfectly sculpted cheekbones and concealed complexion perfection ensured his products were at the top of many beauty bloggers products of the year and onto my cult beauty wish list.
2013 was the year of the brows and Anastasia was the brand on everyone's lips. Their newest offering, a pomade, excites me greatly. I love the effortlessly done look good brows give, they really finish off a make up look and make a 'no make up' day look like you wake up flawless (oh hai Beyoncé), instantly making you feel better about life.
There's something about Jo Malone, something that makes me feel instantly grown up, their fuss free classic packaging sets itself apart from the rubber flower topped perfumes that crown my collection. The heavy and more masculine scents really appeal to me, and I've been known to rock my boyfriends aftershave on occasion, so I think a trip to Jo Malone is well overdue.
